Diploma in Mechatronic Engineering

The Diploma in Mechatronic Engineering program offers students the opportunity to specialise in mechatronics through a combination of mechanical engineering with elements of electronic engineering and computer-aided design. ​

Objectives

  • Prepare students for lifelong career opportunities in Mechatronic Engineering.
  • Provide students with invaluable training to apply mechanical and electronic technology in all aspects of daily life to the most advanced manufacturing facilities.
  • Keep students abreast of relevant knowledge for the current and future needs in the field of automation and/or in robotic systems.
  • Provide a stepping stone for acquiring the BEng or BSc and MEng or MSc.

SPM Leavers :

  • Pass SPM & English
  • Credits in 3 subjects (3 Cs) (Mathematics, Science/Technical/Vocational subject, and 1 any other subject)

STPM Leavers :

  • Pass STPM
  • At least Grade C (NGMP 2.0) in 1 subject
  • Pass Mathematics, English, and 1 Science/Technical/ Vocational subject in SPM

Others :

  • Completion of a Recognised Certificate in Engineering/Engineering Technology in a relevant field with a minimum CGPA of 2.0
  • Any equivalent overseas qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government

UEC Leavers :

  • Pass UEC & English
  • Credits in 3 subjects (3 Bs) (Mathematics, Science/Technical/Vocational subject, and 1 any other subject)

Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Holders :

  • Pass Level 3 of Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) or Vocational/Technical Certificate
  • Pass SPM with at least 1 credit in any subject
  • At least 1 year relevant working experience (employer letter required) OR minimum 1 semester in a Bridging Program
